When should I book my spa appointment?
As some of our spa retreats are extremely popular during certain
hours, advanced booking prior to your arrival is recommended so
you can secure your preferred date and time of treatment. You can
either use our shopping basket or booking request forms, or send
us an email to book your spa appointment. A credit card number is
required at the time of booking as a guarantee to secure the session
you've reserved. No charges will be made to your card until you've
checked out of our Spa, unless a cancellation is made 4 hours prior
to your arrival.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Simply email or call us well ahead. We need 24 hours' cancellation
notice to help us reschedule your appointment, subject to space
availability. Any cancellation with less than 4 hours' notice will
incur a 50% cancellation fee. We're sorry but full charges will
be imposed for a "no-show".
When should I arrive for my treatment?
If this is your first visit, please arrive at least 30 minutes earlier
to allow yourself time to change and familiarize yourself with the
facility. Please check in at the spa reception at least 15 minutes
prior to your scheduled appointment, or earlier if you have not
decided on your treatment yet. Arriving late would shorten your
session in order to avoid delaying the next guest. Moreover, you'll
receive less of the benefits and pleasures of our treatments if
you arrive late. If you know there's simply no way you could squeeze
in your spa treatment, email or call us to reschedule your appointment.
Is there someone to help me decide on
the most suitable treatments or therapies?
If you have difficulty deciding on a treatment, discuss your
needs with our reception staff. They'd be more than happy to recommend
suitable treatments that'll match your goals. If this is your first
visit, try one of our comprehensive packages. If you prefer, our
reception staff would be pleased to help you plan a program. Email
or call us to discuss.
What if I have special health considerations/conditions?
If you have high blood pressure, allergies, heart conditions, are
pregnant or have any other medical or physical ailments or disabilities,
please consult your doctor before booking any spa services. Once
you've been cleared by your doctor, be sure to notify our spa receptionist
when booking your treatments. Please make our therapist aware of
your condition, and any recent trauma or surgery you've had before
she begins your treatment. If you have any concerns at all, please
let us know.
What other information should I share
with the therapist?
Besides health conditions, do inform our reception staff and therapists
of any problem areas, likes and dislikes, skin allergies (especially
if you are having a facial) or medication you are taking. If you
are menstruating or have had a recent surgery or injury, be sure
to let the therapist know, so she can adjust your treatment accordingly.
You could also share your preferences e.g. pressure for massage,
essential oils, incense fragrance and let them know your skin type.
How long should I use the sauna or steam
room?
When used in moderation, both sauna and steam are beneficial before
or after all spa treatments. The sauna warms your muscles and begins
the relaxation process, and 12 to 15 minutes at a time is optimal,
or else you risk dehydration from excessive perspiration. A steam
bath is effective in opening pores and wonderful for the respiratory
system, and 5 to 6 minutes at a time is excellent as a primer for
body treatments.
Should men shave before their Facials?
We suggest that men shave a few hours before their facial appointments,
rather than just before.
Is there a way for me to offer one of
the fabulous treatments as a gift?
You can send them a Spa Gift Certificate. Gift Certificates for
our spa treatments are valid for 3 months, and make fantastic gifts
for dear ones. Check out our Spa Gift Ideas or email us.
What if I have jewelry and valuables with
me?
Please leave them in the hotel's safety deposit box or in your in-villa
safes. If you inadvertently bring them along, a secure box is provided
in the treatment pavilions and rooms, but we recommend that no jewelry
be worn at the spa. We're sorry but the management accepts no responsibility
for the loss of money or valuables of any kind brought into the
spa premises. |
